Released in mid 2009 via Mochilla Records was the brilliant "Suite for Ma Dukes" - Carlos Niño & Miguel Atwood-Ferguson choosing to pay tribute to J Dilla by interpreting his music in a contemporary chamber music style.
Anyways, so inspirational was the music that I decided to re-edit the tracks.... and attempted to re-create the trademark Dilla sound - drum grooves, drops, & classic arrangement - that appeared on the originals of these records over the chamber style instrumentals.
The re-edits started with Fall in Love as originally recorded by Slum Village on the 2000 classic Fantastic, Vol.2 on GoodVibe Recordings.
Until now, there's only been a couple of low quality mp3's online with a few sneaky copies floating about..... but now they're available via my Soundcloud for a strictly limited time only!
There are two more in the re-edit series that'll be up soon - check back here / via twitter / subscribe via RSS / Soundcloud for the heads up link....

The foundation was started by Maureen Yancey, mother of acclaimed producer James “Jay Dee aka J Dilla” Yancey"
